That time of year is coming again.  That wonderful time when the sun is in the sky and  skin can be seen.  That wonderful time when there’s not a drop of rain for miles and not a single worry on our minds.  There’s something about this time of year that captivates us to forget all the bad times and focus on what really matters, enjoying the present, la joie de vivre.  It’s finally the time for sun dresses, picnics, food carts, bike rides, surfing, and more as we all take advantage of these glorious days ahead.  Ladies and Gentlemen, SUMMER IS COMING. Summer is coming and it is coming fast.  So hide that box of sweaters in your closet, kick back on a lawn chair by the pool, and turn on some Beach Boys, cause baby, it’s gonna be a wild ride.

WOODS — “Pushing Onlys” (Sun and Shade, 2011)

Woods have shared a new track called “Pushing Onlys” from their upcoming album, Sun and Shade. The song starts off with a simple count off and then explodes into the upbeat sunshiney mood that the band is incredible at creating. Falsetto singing bounces atop the strumming of layered guitars, adding to the overall energy of the song. Hope this track is an indication of what the rest of the album will sound like.

Sun and Shade will be released on June 14 via their own Woodsist record label.
